Entered Monday April 16, 2007
Flat Glenn made his debut at OIC8 in Findlay Ohio on Saturday.
Sunday he traveled with me, Wayne & Sherry to Cleveland, then flew to Atlanta and on to San Antonio where he is currently standing on my fireplace mantle.
Flat Glenn will not be idle long. I am issuing him a passport which I will ship with him. When you receive Flat Glenn, take the post mark off and attach it to your page, along with a picture and or other memorabilia. I will ask that each person use only one page of the passport.
I will be updating the forum over the next couple of days, so check back often

*update*
Flat Glenn has been very busy today.
After resting up for a few days Flat Glenn decided it was time to see the sites of downtown San Antonio!
Glenn visited The Alamo, Riverwalk, The Tower Of The Americas, and a few other places. Tomorrow Glenn will be outstanding in the field... of bluebonnets, then I will pass him off to cannonball for a jet-set trip to San Francisco before skwirls gets to play hostess
I will post pictures in the next day or two.

Howdy y'all!!!
Flat Glenn is in Texas, and every honorary Texan needs an authentic cowboy hat.
The hat that Flat Glenn is wearing is similar to one that our current president, George W. Bush, wore when he visited this shop on the Riverwalk in San Antonio.
Now that Flat Glenn looks like a real Texan, he is ready to go see some of the landmarks in downtown San Antonio! |

What trip to San Antoino would be complete without a trip to The Alamo?
The Alamo is one of 5 Spanish frontier Missions which were outposts established by the Catholic church to spread Christianity as part of the colonization of Texas.

"Remember The Alamo" is a well known phrase in south Texas.
In the battle of San Jacinto, "Remember the Alamo" was shouted because over 600 people, including William Travis, Davey Crockett and Jim Bowie, were killed fighting to win Texas Independence.

The Tower Of The Americas is San Antonio's tallest landmark.
It was built in 1968 for the World's Fair, called HemisFair 68' and is still a popular attraction for locals and tourists alike.

The RiverWalk is a fun place to visit and shop in the heart of downtown San Antonio.
Behind Flat Glenn is beginning of the San Antonio River where you can see a barge of tourists seeing the sights.
Many people come to San Antonio for business conventions because the weather is usually sunny and the people are very friendly. |

After a busy day of sight seeing Flat Glenn decides to relax and smell the Roses.. er.. Bluebonnets, which are the official flower of the State of Texas.
Families flock to these meadows of blue to have their picture taken with fields of beautiful Bluebonnets as the backdrop. |

Thanks, Wes, for showing Flat Glenn around San Antonio. I'm sure he learned a lot...I know we did! The links were very helpful.
The photos are really nice. Glenn looks like he is having a ball! |

Hi everyone--I finally got here.....kudos to all involved--especially Mae Lynn & Dave.
Wes--Flat Glenn sure looks like he had a lot of fun touring Texas....I liked the Alamo pic the best...it is someplace I would like to visit if I ever visit Texas again. (I visited Dyess AFB in Abilene, Texas, over 20 years ago when my sister was in the Air Force.)
The passport is simply awesome--superb work!
Well, I am going to check around and see what else I can learn about Texas while I am here.
See ya around partners! _________________

Okay, I looked around and I am never realized how large San Antonio is!
1.9 million people? Wow! I am from the town of Nazareth, PA, and we have about 6,000 people.......quite a difference.
Anyway, I can't wait to see pictures from the next city! _________________
